Important changes to the Business Level 5 Diploma Programme from 25 July

Kia ora

As a learner enrolled in the New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5) Leadership and Management programme, we wanted to advise you about some upcoming changes to the learning modules.

These changes are the result of feedback from workplaces, assessors and other learners. Additional learning resources are also being incorporated.

Changes to modules
From 25 July, the Level 5 programme will have five modules, with each module leading to a unit standard. This replaces the current programme which has four modules leading to the same number of unit standards as the current programme.

The modules are now all named by their topic and the unit standard number that is achieved.

The current large module 03: Innovation and change has been divided into two smaller modules, called Manage business activities and Innovation and change. See below:

What this means
Transition arrangements will ensure that your work so far is recognised. Those of you who have started 03: Innovation and change, will need to complete that module. For those who haven’t yet started it, they will instead complete both: 29045: Manage business activities and 29049: Innovation and change. You gain the added benefit of having access to additional new learning resources.
Other programme enhancements
For those of you who have recently begun your programme, a new ‘Getting started’ page on Aka Toi in the Business Resource library introduces our business assessors and there is a helpful new guide to support learners to get started.

For the additional learning resources, we have partnered with eCampus to adapt their learning resources for our Level 5 Business learners. As a result, there are new videos and activities which help to bring the content to life. Learning resources have also been mapped to the module topics for greater relevance.

Careerforce assessors will continue to guide, support and mentor you on your journey, now using revised and improved assessments.

Your Careerforce assessor will be in touch
Your Careerforce Assessor will be in touch with you shortly about these changes. We have also contacted your employer to let them know.

Ngā mihi
