The Moderation and Assessment Practice team would like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy holiday and thank you for all of your hard work this year.

2021 began with a hiss and a roar, Covid-19 Alert Level 1, freedom and excitement. Learner activity was through the roof and assessment activity was unlike anything we have seen before.

Across our sectors, we’re acutely aware that many of our employers faced many difficulties and challenges across 2021, and appreciate that training may not have been a priority at times due to staffing shortages – but the figures tell a slightly rosier picture.

A year in numbers...

Across the motu (nation), you have helped support 6,392 qualification completions, and assessed more than 95,000 unit standards (14,000 more than last year) totalling nearly 500,000 credits. That's equivalent to 570 years worth of learning and assessment!

Assessor whānau – you now number over 980, and while we lost a few of the whānau over the year, the Learning Engagement Advisors have trained and developed nearly 200 new assessors to renew and bolster our ranks. More than 400 of you also met with us in some way throughout the year despite the restrictions we have faced due to Covid-19.

The Moderation and Assessment Practice team, and the wider whānau at Careerforce extend our greatest mihi to you all. Ngā mihi nui ki a koe e te mahi! Without your support, our learners could not – and would not – have experienced the success that they have.
